Edith Chambless Jansen

September 1, 1918 to March 1, 2013

Mrs. Jansen was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dublin where she was a Sunday school teacher and pianist for the Friendship Class. She was also involved in the UMW. Mrs. Jansen was a retired school teacher for many years in the Laurens County School System, where she helped design math curriculum for the district. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a Professional Honorary Society of Women Educators. Until her move to Benton House, she was a long time resident of Dudley where she was active in church and community affairs. Her family is grateful to the staff and residents at Benton House, Serenity Hospice and her faithful caregivers. Mrs. Jansen was preceded in death by her parents, Young G. Chambless and Nan Coleman Chambless, husband, John Gladstone Jansen, five brothers and three sisters.
